THE CHRISTMAS TREE
At Terry's apartment in The Devon at South Riding, Terry has never had a Christmas tree. She comes over to our house and enjoys ours. This year Bob and Louise are sharing the apartment and they did not plan to put up a tree. One day near Christmas, Gary and the kids surprised them all by bringing them a live "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree. They brought over some of the little wooden ornaments that Steven Stoker had used on his little tree in his bedroom. Then Terry pulled out some of her ornaments and candy canes. We pulled a string of white lights off our back deck and "Voila!"
Arik was not cooperating with having his picture taken on Christmas Eve.
Louise said that they quite enjoyed having a real Christmas tree in the apartment.
It made it feel like Christmas.
CHRISTMAS EVE PRESENTS
The Stoker family tradition of new pajamas on Christmas Eve continues. Charlene gives the kids new pajamas or this year for Arik a new bathrobe. Gary gives them a "big fun present" to open. This year it was a new Wii and a Wii game. Other years everyone got nerf guns for a Christmas Eve family nerf war.
