Christmas Tree 2013

For the last few years, we have cut our own tree at Joe's Christmas Tree Farm on Gum Spring Road.

Darcie persuaded us to get this tree.  Kara helped with the cutting down.

Another view of the farm.
Sadly, this is the last year for Joe's Christmas Tree farm.  The land will be developed into houses.

Our prize loaded on the van.

Mission accomplished.  We are sad that Joe's Christmas Tree Farm is closing.  But lots of happy memories from coming here with the kids and riding in the wagon.

Here is our Christmas tree, all decked out in lights and ornaments.  It is hard to see in this picture, but we have Grandpa Stoker's bubble lights on the tree this year.  Kara has promised Arik to put Uncle Steven's train up soon.  I suspect the tracks will stay together better on the wood floor than they used to on the carpet.    My favorite thing about the tree is the Christmas tree skirt.   I found it  a few years ago after Christmas at a huge discount. I love the Nordic pattern.
